Photos should preferably be taken outside using natural lighting. Also preferably the photos should be preferably taken at the same level as the dog/horse etc.... NOT looking down on them, as this does not make for a good compositional painting.
The painting usually will be completed between 1 to 3 weeks. Sometimes in much less time, depending on my work load!
