DRY BRUSH PET PORTRAITS:
The art of painting with oil paint on paper with a dry brush (no thinner). The artwork won't need drying time, can be shipped soon as it's completed. The color is usually black on Canson 80lb acid-free artist drawing paper (won't yellow over time).
SIZE:
11 x 14 inch pet portraits can be framed on an 11x14inch frame matted with 8x10 window or 16x20 frame matted with 11x14inch window.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
1 - 3 weeks depending on work load. These take hours to complete and my schedule only allows me to paint a few hours each day. Work is spread out over many days.
PRICE
Current artist portrait rate: $3.00 sq. in. plus materials and shipping. Art piece is 11x14 inch (154 sq. in.) however price is for 80 sq in. in case the artwork is framed 11x14 with 8x10 matte window. Advantage customer.
SPLIT PAYMENT
Traditionally for portraits, I've had clients pay half to start, the other half when done and client approves. I could not find a way to split the payment thru Etsy. If you prefer this way, I can arrange this via PayPal.
NO RISK
Once I send you a photo of how it's coming along, you'll know right away whether it's a go or no go. At that point, you have the option of opting out for a full refund whether you pay in full or split payment.
QUALITY HI-RESOLUTION PHOTOS or VIDEOS NEEDED:
High-resolution photos are best to work with to be able to view important details such as eye color.

PAINTING PROCESS
I start by editing the photo(s) with Photoshop to create a draft or two for sizing, layout, background and contrast for the client to review before the job begins. After the job starts, I send the client a photo midway. Once I feel the work is done or close, more photos are sent for review, adjustments and final approval.
FREE high resolution digital photo included for client to reprint anytime. Websites like Vista Print can upload your photo to be printed on all kinds of items such as coffee mugs, T-shirts, backpacks, etc.
