She is very old, her face and hands are all clutched like an old spring apple.

the scene is austere and the little lady is of modest origin.

Obviously, this woman is very practicing, she has in her hands her missal and her rosary. On the left, we see a crucifix.

It emanates from this painting a great austerity, the old woman is dressed in a black dress very covering and a black shawl, all without any embellishment. His hair is completely covered with his small headdress.

On the back of the frame, it is written in pencil, priest of Crampagna. Crampagna is a small village near Foix, in the Ariège department, in the Midi-Pyrénées region, France.
