- HOW TO ORDER
Just to verify, you are NOT purchasing the painting in the photos above. You are purchasing a completely personalized custom pet painting on pre-stretched canvas.
I will paint under your instructions along with the chosen reference photo of your animal of choice.
Before purchasing this listing, please contact me through Etsy or my email so we both have a clear idea of what instructions are needed for your painting.
I will need to know specifics such as:
- Email Contact.
I'll need your email address to keep in contact with you for everything about your order.
- Color of the background.
This can be mixed or a solid color and that is completely up to you. I do not offer complex backgrounds as of yet.
- Due date of when you absolutely need the piece in your hands.
It all depends where you live and how long shipping will take.
- Times I can contact you
(and list your time zone if you are not in the Eastern time zone). This is so we have constant connection to make your pet painting more efficiently and with progress photos.
- High resolution photo
Preferably above 1,000 pixels (300 dpi is best, 72 dpi is low). You can check the resolution and dimensions by right clicking the photo and click on "Properties". Next, click on "Details" to see what size your photo is. It should say something like: Dimensions = 4032 x 3024. The better the quality of the photo, the better your painting will be.
- What breed your animal is.
If you don't know or they are a super mixed breed, that's okay. It helps me research the animal better so I can bring out their physical features perfectly.
- Enriched colours.
Let me know what features of your pet that you want me to enhance, such as making the eyes more blue than the photo or make the nose shinier. We can discuss more in email on specifics.
As a rule of thumb, if I'm provided a close up photo of your pet (neck and up), it's best for small paintings. For medium sized paintings, I'll require half body photos of the animal. For large paintings, full body pictures of the animal are the best. Keep this in mind while choosing a photo for your pet painting.
- WHAT I PROVIDE
I will provide you a starting drawing of the animal on canvas as one of my progress photos. I'll send another half done painting photo within the next day. Once I finish the painting, I'll send you a final progress photo for your approval and I can make any final adjustments. Once completely approved, I'll post progress photos of the painting being packaged so you know how tight and sealed the package will be.
- BACKGROUND

I do not offer extra elements either as of yet, such as butterflies on their head or flowers around them. Also, let me know if you prefer the edges of the canvas painted or unpainted.
- SPECIFICATIONS
The type of paint I'm using in this listing is oil colour paint. The brands I use are Lukas and Winsor & Newton sets. I also use pencil to draw.
Since oil paint will be used in this listing, keep in mind that oil paint takes a longer time to dry compared to other paints such as gouache, watercolor, and acrylic. It takes typically 5-7 days to dry depending on the thickness of the paint applied to the canvas. It typically takes me 2-3 days to paint a painting depending on the amount of orders received. I will contact you to let you know when I'll be able to finish, ship, and when it should be delivered.
*NOTE* I cannot guarantee the painting will be completely dry by the time it arrives at your location due to oil paint has a super long drying process. I'll make it dry as quickly as I possibly can by mixing drying mediums and having fans on the work.
The original painting shipped to you will be signed by me. I will not have the ability to replicate it or sell it as it will be in your possession. You are NOT allowed to use the painting for: advertising, make copies, or use for profit of any kind. If you need the painting for something like that, let me know beforehand to discuss in further detail. I will use every custom painting as promotions for my shop, unless specified by the customer not to for good reason.
IMPORTANT: It is imperative to keep your painting away from direct sunlight as the colors could fade and dry out.
