An expressive portrait of a young woman with artistic make up, which creates a shiny blue look to her, almost like a fairy. The young woman is looking aside to create a semi profile, her long neck is partly in the shade and the beautiful stretched part is exposed to the light emphasizing its swan like figure.
Her hair is pulled up tightly and two white roses decorate her head like a natural crown. Her forehead is shiny from the light and so are her nose, her cheek and full lips. The background is dark, as if nonexistent - only her impressive image.
I made this painting from a photo when studying in New York and this special appearance of the young girl, was a wonderful opportunity to paint a portrait in an untraditional way.
I love painting people. They fascinate me and the exploration of the human body and mind is endless for me.

1st Step:
Convo (through Etsy) or e-mail me (nir.amir@gmail.com) the photo you wish to be painted and we'll talk about it. Feel free to express any idea or thought you may have in mind. Talk to me about the person or persons in the picture, tell me what they mean to you, let me know if this is a gift and for whom, anything you think is important for the portrait.
We will then agree on the delivery date, the size and the material you want the painting to be made from: oil on canvas, watercolor, pencil or charcoal.
2nd step:
Once we've agreed on all the details, I will send you my PayPal details and once payment is performed, your painting will be in queue.
3rd Step
I will start working on the painting and will send progress updates to be discussed as we go. I want you to love the portrait and feel in touch with it, so I am happy to make adjustments as much as you feel necessary.
4th Step
When the painting is completed, I will send a photo for your final approval before shipping.
Photo Tips:
The higher the resolution the photo is, the better I will be able to see its details, and details matter.
So send me a high resolution photo, one that shows every eyelash, every finger and even the pattern of the clothing.
However, when the photo is old and not so clear, but means a lot to you, I usually have ways of working with it as well.

* Oil paints, diluted with turpentine. My pallet usually consists of the three primers: Yellow, Blue and Red and I put both warm and cool pigments.
* Filbert hog hair brushes
* Round sable brushes for the details.
* Liquine to accelerate drying.
