Simon Hackney is a qualified artist who works in all traditional mediums and now digital also which allows a quicker turn around and big reduction in price. He combines his traditional art technique and computer design expertise to create beautifully captivating life like digitally hand painted Digital-Oil or Watercolour paintings on art canvas or watercolour paper from any photograph you have. It could be a wedding portrait, a family member or a cherished pet that you love.

The painting process starts with a digital photo, or a film photo that I scan. I hand brush and blend the pixels using a Wacom digital paintbrush stylus. The exact same techniques and motion are used as when I apply a traditional paintbrush to canvas. Painting this way allow me to have total control over light and colour, this allows me to bring out the emotional expressiveness of the image. When the digital painting is complete, I transfer the image to fine artist canvas or watercolour paper using rich UV archival pigments and a large format giclee printer.

Each painting is different and looks/feels 100% hand-painted. The finish is glossy when embellished or satin/matt when printed. The canvas paintings are stretched on a 40mm deep frame, READY TO HANG. The artwork extends/wraps around the sides (Gallery Wrap).
