I would be honored to paint your furry friend! Here is what i need to make it happen.

FOR PET PORTRAITS: I work from photographs, which means that you will be required to send me a high resolution photograph of your pet in the pose that you would like me to paint them in. The more detail that is visible, the better your painting will come out. Also, the more photos that you can provide, the better I will be able grasp your critter's personality. No worries if you don't have a DSLR camera, a smart phone camera works just fine too. I recommend photographing your pet in natural lighting (outside, or in a room with a window) and never use flash.

FOR ANIMAL PORTRAITS: You are not expected to have photo references for me, but if you do that's great too. I always do my research and can provide you with different options during the rough draft stage.

After you purchase your commission send me a message on Etsy, or an email to mags.e.morales [!at] gmail.com. Your message should include the photo(s) of your pet and a detailed description of what you're looking for. REMEMBER, the more detailed you can be, the better the chance of you getting exactly what you want. Here are some other things that would be helpful to include in your message.

IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY, BEFORE MAKING YOUR PURCHASE.

Your painting will be completed on a stretched canvas with oil paints within 4-6 weeks (drying time of oil paint and varnish included), packaged with care, and then shipped to you. You will receive photographic updates of the progress of your painting throughout the completion process. The first photo will be a rough draft (not extremely detailed or refined) of what your painting will look like, including color and composition. When you receive this first update, please ask any questions about things you are unclear about regarding the design/how the final piece will look; I want us both to understand what you are getting. I will also ask you if you would like me to make any changes to the design. If the answer is yes, please clearly explain what you would like me to change about it, and I will promptly make the required changes to the rough draft. I will then resend the design to you. If you choose to go ahead with the design, I will begin the painting. However, if you are still not completely satisfied with the rough draft, you WILL be allowed to ask for more changes to be made. I will allow a MAXIMUM of three rounds of changes (meaning, I have sent the draft three times and you have asked for changes to be made each time). If you reach the rough draft limit and you still are not satisfied, you will be refunded your money, minus $50.00 for the time I spent drafting your painting. After the 1-3 photos of the painting in its rough draft stage, I will send you a few photos updating you on the progress of your painting throughout various stages of its completion. Please be aware that these images are just to show you how things are coming along, and this not the time to ask for changes to the painting. There will be no changes made to your design, or refunds issued, after the rough draft stage. By purchasing this item you are agreeing to these terms.
