I took several pictures of this sweet little boy, which portrait was made in 2013 and purchased as a gift for his grandparents.
The size of this handmade portrait is 12Figure, 61x50cm ( 24x19 inches approx.)
To do my oil portraits I use the best oils and best materials.
Painting in Oil is like navigate in a river. You never know where the water will take you...Each painter has is own style. In this case, this is an Alla prima oil portrait.

All the samples you can see in my shop come from real persons who commissioned an Oil portrait. I always start an open dialogue by mail with my clients to know exactly what they want and what their needs are.
The pictures are very important to make a good portrait. The better the picture, the better the final result. I usually ask my clients to send me different photos. Several images so we can choose together the best one for the painting. In order to make a portrait, a smile is not always required. But the lights, size, quality, and colors in the picture are very important. It's not the same the light needed for a child than the light for an old man or lady. Big size pictures or digital files allow me to get into the details more than small images.

The most common sizes I use for a figure (Head and Shoulders) are 36 x 28,5 inches (92 x 73 cm) for a single portrait, or 39 x 31,5 inches (100 x 81cm). Anyway, the picture (And the client) defines the size, so these sizes are guidance measures. If you need a special size just let me know.
Price starts from 750 us$ for a single person (head and shoulders).

The process to make a single Oil Portrait takes between 10-15 days but sometimes I am overbooked so it takes a little more. If this happens I would send you an email to inform you before starting the work.

In Oil paintings, as the work is more complicated and requires more time and work, I will ask you to pay 50% in advance. Prior to mailing your portrait, I will send you a digital photo for your review. This is your chance to suggest any changes and comment on the portrait. If you are satisfied with the final result after viewing the photo you can make the payment.

The shipping is not included in Oil portraits, due to the different sizes, and packaging, etc.
The cost of ships is guidance price.
The work is sent unframed.
Certificate of Authenticity will be included.
