I have been painting for 30 years, specializing in portraiture, although I can also paint landscapes, homes, animals and have done vehicles and airplanes as well.
Each piece is created by applying layer upon layer of paint, building up the fine nuances of color and shadow. This process takes a bit longer, allowing for drying time between layers, but it gives a "living" quality to the piece. The end result is a realistic image with the definite glow of oils.
A clear photo image is needed to begin. Feel free to send me as many photos as you'd like, and we can discuss which one(s) might be best. It is no problem to remove backgrounds, change colors, etc. If you'd like to replace your background with another detailed one, there will be an extra charge. Replacing a background with a muted blend of color is not extra. Price is for one subject. Each additional person or animal is $50.
Many sizes are available. Again, if you have a special request, feel free to ask. I've included the "standard" size canvas options in my listings, but occasionally because of the layout of the photo, you may need a custom size. That is not a problem!
When the portrait is complete, I will send you a photo for review. Minor changes can still be made at that point. I want you to be completely happy with the result and will work with you to make sure that happens.
My turnaround time is 3-4 weeks, but may vary depending on present workload. May be less, could be more. I will let you know before your order is purchased if it would be more.
I retain the right to use the image of your painting for marketing purposes on social media. Your name will never be used in any form. No prints or copies will ever be made from your original painting. It will only be used to show as an example of my work.
